How would you price this piece of art?
A luxury travel company aptly called DreamMaker has recently unveiled the most lavish vacation imaginable. A tour to 20 of the world’s most spectacular places in 20 days on board a private Boeing 767. How much, you ask? Just a jaw-dropping £11 million ($13, 875,000).
Maybe the zeros are a mistake? Nope.
So what’s the catch? Most five-star airlines offer round-the-world business class tickets with 15 stops for only $10,000 to $15,000. What's so special about this “Passport to 50” VIP tour? Let's find out.
First off, this exclusive business jet will whisk away 50 elite passengers to 20 of the world’s most spectacular places. Among these awe-inspiring destinations are otherworldly beaches like El Nido (Philippines) and Koh Samui (Thailand). Ritzy resorts in Ibiza and Marbella (both in Spain) are also added to this exclusive holiday.
The usual suspects in Europe have also made it to the list. The Italian city of Florence, voted by discerning Condé Nast readers as the best European city in 2016, is unsurprisingly included, much to the delight of art-inclined millionaires. Step back in time in the medieval city of Siena, Italy.
As any getaway fit for the royals, the jet also stops at glitzy and glamorous cities like Cannes and Las Vegas. Other fabulous destinations included in this dream tour are Agra, Kathmandu, Siem Reap, Moulinet, London, Barcelona, Marrakech, Havana, Knoxville, Las Vegas, Nevada, Kailua-Kona, and a ‘secret island’.
Passengers are only flying 12% of the time. Meaning, they’d be enjoying the destinations 88% guaranteed.
Gregory Patrick, the VIP tour founder, further justifies the cost by live fashion shows on board, gourmet dishes, fully flat beds for all guests, and a casino game to pass the time. He also said that his company would donate at least £800,000 to charity benefiting many children worldwide.
Maybe it would take most of us a lifetime to cross off the world’s top destinations. But for the well-heeled jet setters, we know it could take only a couple of days.
So the next time you feel guilty after overspending during your vacation, snap out of it by thinking of this over the top holiday.
